Watoto Child Care Ministries Mission

1.7 million boys and girls in Uganda have had the tragic experience of losing one or both of their parents to AIDS or war. There are currently 940,000 Ugandan children living as orphans as a result of AIDS. Watoto Child Care Ministries is a holistic program targeted towards meeting the essential needs of parentless children. Their purpose is to provide spiritual, physical, educational and emotional care for every child so that each one will become a responsible Christian and productive citizen of Uganda.

Making a Difference

Watoto Child Care Ministries have many ways in which you can help make a difference in the lives of many disadvantaged children. We have chosen the Build a House and House Plus incentives. Build a House

A gift of £8,000 will build and furnish a home which will house eight parentless children and a house-mother. Alternatively, the same amount will build a classroom where some of Uganda’s most vulnerable children will receive the invaluable gift of education.

House Plus

An additional gift of £3000 / £6000 / £8000 will support the infrastructure which provides water and power, paths, roads and community development opportunities around these homes and classrooms.
